Q:   What does 2-Way Locking & 4-Way Locking mean?
A:   2-Way Locking is: 1. Unlocked, 2. Locked
      4-Way Locking is: 1. Unlocked, 2. Locked, 3. In Only (Cat can only go into the house), 4. Out Only (Cat can only go out of the house)

Q:   Are Pet Mate Doors easy for pets to use, will the animal soon get used to it?
A:   Most animals will take to it immediately; a few more timid creatures will need a little encouragement with tasty tidbits. As soon as the pet realises the freedom and independence benefits that the flap has to offer, there will be no more problems!

Q:   Design & Quality, 3 Year Guarantee what is this?
A:   Pet Mate's pet doors are renowned for their innovative design and lasting quality. Q:   What types of door or wall can I fit a pet door into?
A:   There are Pet Mate pet doors available to fit almost any material including glass.

Q:   Are Pet Mate Pet Doors easy to fit?
A:   We offer simple instructions with diagrams and supply a cut-out template to make installation relatively easy. The helpline is always available if more advice is needed.

Q:   What are 2-way locking and 4-way locking pet doors?
A:   A 2-way lock allows the user to set the flap in two different positions - either "Locked" or "Unlocked". A 4-way lock gives more control of your pets' movements as it also allows the user to set the flap to "In Only" and "Out Only" - which are very useful if you want to keep your pet outside or lock him in at night.

Q:   Are spare parts, particularly flaps readily available?

Q:   Does the magnet feel heavy to the cat?
A:   No, the magnet is designed specifically for cats of all temperaments, breeds, and sizes, and is smaller than many of our competitors' magnets.

Q:   Does the Pet Mate Electromagnetic Door keep out all other pets?
A:   The Electromagnetic Cat Flap keeps out stray cats, which by definition would not be wearing a collar or magnet. Any magnetic cat flap has the potential to admit a pet wearing a magnet.

Q:   Will my Pet Mate Electromagnetic Door work if my dog wears a cat collar magnet?
A:   Most small dogs have a longer nose than cats. For this reason, the dog collar magnet is more powerful than the cat collar magnet, although different breeds will obviously have different nose to collar distances.
For best results, we recommend that all dogs use dog collar magnets, and cats use cat collar magnets.

Q:   What makes the Elite Range different from other cat flaps?

• Timer control - allows you to choose what time of the day and night you want your cat(s) to be inside or outdoors and automatically change lock settings accordingly;
